Deer Run
This more rustic 1940’s scout cabin lived at Camp Pottawatomie Hills until it was relocated to Camp Kettlewood. Just footsteps from The Pond, this gently restored private retreat is perfect for couples, solo guests, or families looking for a peaceful oasis.
Inside you’ll find a king bed with fresh linens, air-conditioning, a mini-fridge, outlets, and a coffee maker. There’s also space for 2–3 additional guests to sleep on pads or pitch a tent outside (small extra fee). A propane grill, fire pit, cookware, and firewood are included. Clean bathrooms and open-air showers are just down the trail.

“What an amazing campsite! We had a large group split the Crows Nest and Deer Run campsites. The fire pit had plenty of wood and cooking utensils for us to make nearly every meal over the fire. The cabin at Deer Run had a very homey feel with the decor and an enormous tree stump table... Overall Camp Kettlewood was an incredible experience and couldn’t have been better for our camping trip!"
